Hello I don’t know if this is the right place to ask about this. I’ve been employed at Starbucks since February and unfortunately because of extreme health issues am unable to work. I’ve been technically out of work since March and the claims people are...not the best at helping. I’m just frustrated and confused and I don’t know if anyone else has had to go through this?

It’s so discouraging I’m considering quitting the company at this time. Maybe I’ll go back but, it’s really discouraging and not really worth my stress when I have so much other health issues happening I need to be focusing on.

My advice as someone also on medical LOA is just get on their butts about it. If you need to call your case manager call as early as possible. Go above their heads if your claims person isn’t pulling weight and you need questions answered !

Thank you! I’ve been declined my claim TWICE because of stuff they just...didn’t communicate with me. They told me I never submitted my paper work when I did and I had the confirmation stuff to prove it. And so they back pedaled and said they just couldn’t read the files I uploaded and I was like “why didn’t you just tell me then instead of letting my due date come and go and deny my claims” so it’s really just...been frustrating. I got a physical letter denying my claims that was dated one day before I had received a second phone call needing a photo of one of my records. I have not heard a single thing since I resubmitted anything. I’m just so frustrated. I’m not getting benefits since I’ve been with the company for such a short time so like why am I even trying SO hard to make this a thing when I’m not even literally able to support myself currently.

It’s definitely been frustrating on my end. I opted for digital only forms and yet still have 12 paper forms to write.. my claims person basically never communicated anything t to me but my nurse in charge of my case goes above their head for info for me. My SM is like idk anything just get better soon lol.

YEAH not to mention my doctor isn’t helping at all with accurately filling out my papers I needed him to it’s just been so much and I dont know if it’s worth all my effort. I’m going to try one more time. But they’ve used up so much of my patience.
