Thursday morning shenanigans (self.starbucksbaristas)

Uhh anyways today was literally worse than red cup day. Like, I would work red cup day again before I had to deal with today again.
So first of all we had 3 call outs, leaving 4 partners for the day until 4. The morning was rough and we had been 45 minutes behind on orders from 8:15 am to probably 11 or 12 when we got approval to shut it off. We just couldn’t keep up. two partners left between 2-3pm, so I ended up on bar alone (mind you i hurt my foot a few days ago so it hurt to walk) and at first it was okay bc mobiles were off and drive thru wasn’t super busy.
Had a lady ask “wow is it only the two of you?” and i was like “uuhhh yeah 🥴” and she ordered 12 drinks. TWELVE FRAPS THAT COULDNT BE BATCHED. After this it got busy again and had literally no one to help
and literally seconds later someone orders 8 drinks in DT . It was honestly so bad I wanted to walk out. It wasn’t my SSVs fault things were so shit, because nobody would come in and the two partners who left at their scheduled times have kids and just couldn’t stay even though they wanted to.
And then, of course, my SSV was telling night crew “morning shift doesn’t do anything “ yeah when I’m soloing bar for two hours with big orders how the hell am I supposed to play CS as well??? Like we were slammed from the time we opened until when I left, night shift had 6 people on the schedule. We had 4 and then 2. It doesn’t compare at all

It seems like this Thursday was an unusual shit show for a lot of people. I’ve seen quite a few posts and my store was also a shit show all day. I guess Thursday the 13th is the new Friday the 13th in Starbucks.

Yeah Thursdays at my store are usually pretty chill up until people start getting out of work/school. This one was just pure chaos for some reason

Where the fuck was your SM???? And yup I would be telling customers that large orders aren’t possible. 2 people for bar and front and DTO and warming? Hell no. I’d say ovens are broken,

My ASM is running the store this week because my SM is on a much-deserved vacation and none of us want to bother her. You see how well that’s going 😣
We told the ASM what was going on and she told us to just use our cold foam blender (we have one for fraps, one for cold foam—not the pitchers btw) for fraps. We wanted to just not sell them all together. Literally everyone ordering everything blended is the reason it broke, literally overheated and just. Died.
My shift wasn’t much help either 😅 she gets stressed easy so I was basically running the whole front of the store alone while she ran around like “WHAT DO I DO” idk man you’re the shift here, not me 😂
