I’m vaccinated. I feel a greater danger from people losing it over being told to wear a mask than I do from the virus now.

This was a crossroads for starbucks. Cdc lifted mask mandate for those 2 weeks post 2nd vaccination but there is not enough % of people fully vaccinated. Until we have enough, starbucks mandate needs to stay. There are a lot of people lying or faking cards and this will cause an increase in death. Starbucks now officially on the record cares more about money than human life, for their baristas and guests

If I thought we could get enough partners for it to matter, yes. Starbucks isn’t concerned until there’s media backlash (I.e. Philadelphia). More than likely I’m just gonna walk out the door one day or not show up at all 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think for me, if I'm in a position where I'm in close proximity to an unmasked customer I'm just going to leave my position until they're gone. But I think my state also still has a mask mandate. I've already mentioned my stance to a couple of the shifts I work with though.

We have a sign up in our window that says ppl still need a mask to enter even if they’re fully vaccinated. So far so good and I hope it stays that way.

Imagine if partners were unionized, because this is the kind of things labor unions are for.

In the Update posted this morning it said that we need to stop confronting customers about this in order to limit our interaction with the unmasked.
They’re choosing the passive route rather than trying to protect partners. Utter BS

It was always going to happen eventually. We've been saying all along that we want people to follow the guidance of the CDC. If the CDC says it's time to lift the mandate and Starbucks doesn't follow suit, our full time jobs will become trying to force people to wear masks when they don't want to and aren't mandated to.

i’m vaccinated, my coworkers are vaccinated, most of the people i know are vaccinated. if someone doesn’t want to wear a mask, so be it. at this point it’s just going to happen.

What are you talking about? Yes the mask mandates are ending in certain states but the Starbucks mask mandate is still in effect.

You're not endangered if you're vaccinated. If you're not vaccinated, that's on you. We've been eligible for a while.
