Transferring as a Green Bean (self.starbucksbaristas)

So I started at the Starbucks in my hometown last week and I love it so far! The only issue is that I just found out that I got accepted into college across the state, so I'm moving in Mid-August. When should I tell my store manager I need a transfer? I don't want to spring this on him during my training and get off on the wrong foot, but I also don't want to ask for a transfer too late. Would it even be possible to get a transfer position after only working three months?

I believe you have to work six months to be eligible for a transfer. Double check because I could be wrong.

im pretty sure if u get hired at the other store before you leave the current one, they can transfer you regardless of how long youve been with the company because its less paperwork. as always, depends on the manager tho
