kind of a weird question... (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by baristathrowaway88
so basically my home life hasn't been too great lately & i'm trying to spend as much time away from home as i possibly can, but i only work so many days a week of course. plus i don't really ever leave my house except to go to work. (aka i have no life). p much i just don't wanna be at my house too much anymore.

so anyways, i was wondering if it would be weird to go to the store i work at on my days off, get my free drink and food markout, and just.... ask the current ssv if i can like... sit in the back and chill for a little while? is that against the rules? i thought about just going to some other random fast food places for dinner and just eating by myself in my car in the parking lot but i don't really live in the safest area so that makes me uncomfortable. what do you think? is my idea reasonable or just weird af lmao.

When I started starbucks my home life was a mess, so I made starbucks my home (this was from 2017-2019 precovid ). I stayed after my shifts. Came in before. Would eat and do homework etc. it was a great time and my team really became my family. No one had a problem honestly as I was super close with everyone and sometimes my SM would let me clock in and do off the floor work or organize and deep clean the back.

I think it’s totally reasonable!

I’d ask your SM first but go for it 🤷‍♀️the worst that can happen is they say no!
