To whomever at UberEats decided it was a good idea to not send us delivery orders until the driver claimed it already, resulting in them showing up less than 2 minutes after we get it:(self.starbucksbaristas)

Also, to the Uber drivers hovering at the mobile bar/handoff because we just got the large/complicated order you are supposed to be picking up...please chill. I used to deliver for door dash it can’t be that different, text the customer you are at the store waiting for the order they will either understand or let the customer be mad at us and rate us poorly so corporate will listen and readjust with Uber.

Just dont take it out on the drivers...we're all working crap jobs and stressed out.

Oh we don’t. I felt so bad for one we had today. We had gotten a 13 item order and she showed up two minutes later. She had to wait and was so sweet about it. We usually offer the drivers waters to keep hydrated ❤️ We appreciate y’all so much.

I can't speak for other partners but the drivers who are regulars at my store when I'm on register, get offered free drip coffees. Only some accept but it makes my day as a former (non delivery, human passengers only) Uber driver lol

Amen

This happens all the time at my store. There’s one regular driver who is so rude and gets mad that it’s not ready as soon as he comes in.

Starbucks changed it with Uber, as drinks were getting made when orders were received, and wouldn't be picked up for a while, sometimes hours.

I feel like that should fall on Uber to get its shit together, not adding even more to baristas who are already understaffed and overworked. The last two fridays I’ve worked we’ve gotten a 13 drink order for delivery, that can’t be made on a dime when Uber drivers arrive and start getting huffy because they have to wait.

I agree with you, but Starbucks can only affect their end. Perhaps if Uber drivers start getting annoyed enough, they'll stop accepting Starbucks orders or Uber will figure out it's shit with Starbucks.
