Exactly! Like why does the sticker not print in the beverage calling order? That Is exactly how we are supposed to call the drinks and its exactly the information we need to process the information in the order that the fucking drink is... oops I cussed I'm sorry...I digress.

This is me when they force me to watch the whole damn video instead of learning how to order it like a reasonable person. Especially when the video lays out how to order it properly. Don’t waste my time making me watch some other barista make it. If you say the words I’ll know how to make it too, just say them.

People actually just show you the video? Ive looked at pictures and was told how to make the drink but ive never seen someone show me or my coworkers videos. That's crazy lol.

To be 100% fair, it’s only happened once or twice, and both pretty recently so it was the first thing that came to mind. First one was a little girl so I watched the damn video. Second one, a teenager, as soon as I realized what she was doing, I interrupted the video and said “I’m sorry, do you mind just telling me your order?” And her mom was like “yeah come on, she doesn’t have time for this, just tell her what you want” lmao

I had someone show me a video of a barista explaining step by step how to make the drink without ever stating what drink it was. Just had to pick an ingredient at random as the starting point.

I just tell them “Sorry, it’s really loud in here and I’m having trouble following the video, if you could just tell me the recipe that would be great!”

I teach 12th grade. I *absolutely* know exactly which of my students are doing this. (It’s even worse this year virtually, I have no idea which students are just silent behind the computer screen and which legit just logged into class and walked away). Anyway, I feel your pain on a deep spiritual level.
