Getting a callback? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Frankie3150
I recently (almost 3 weeks ago) submitted an application to a Starbucks near my house. The store was hiring so I knew it would be good to apply. I heard it’s best to call a couple of days after you apply to get an update and speed up the process. Let’s say I called about 5 days after, spoke to someone and asked for the manager. I was told the manager wasn’t there and I should call again the next day, I called the next day spoke to someone new and was told the manager was now on vacation. Called back a week later happened to get the manager on the phone and was told by them now wasn’t a good time and the best time to call was Monday’s after 9 A.M. I did what I was told and called Monday around 10ish, someone picked up, I told them my situation and they told me the manager wasn’t in and I should call in an hour. Called an hour later and was told the manager was not in that day. I called the next day again and someone picked up, told me the manager wasn’t there and they would write my name down and give it to the manager.

It’s been a week now and I’m not sure what to do at this point. I don’t want to call again because I think I’ve annoyed them too much at this point. I also don’t want to give up because getting this job would be the ideal situation for me.

Any advice on what to do?

Maybe ask which days the manager is working & try to call or come in the store ! Not during peak times, but I’m pretty sure managers work morning shifts that end around 2 , 3 or maybe 4. Depending on the store & what times they’re busy & if the manager is on the floor or in a meeting. At my store it’s always pretty dead by 12 or 1
