Is the health insurance worth it? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by cheekydickwaffle69
My partner and I both work for Starbucks and he recently joined the insurance to get the dental and get his teeth fixed. I however do not have any dental problems and have state health insurance currently that is far cheaper than the Starbucks insurance and has worked decently for me so far. If I don't need dental work or anything like that would it be better to just stick with my current insurance?

In my experience state health insurance is always 1000% better

And more expensive.

I was under the impression this is state given healthcare like when you make a very low income.

It is state insurance for low income it's roughly $30 a month it's Indiana if that helps and I'm moving to Michigan in October

It’s through Starbucks not the state

Starbucks insurance isn’t bad for you but gets expensive when you add people. Like for just me insurance is $30 but when my husband and baby added it’s $134. I know that’s a lot of money but my husbands job doesn’t offer insurance and we don’t qualify for state insurance because he makes too much money. Starbucks insurance for me is really good they pay a lot of stuff especially medicine and special formula for my daughter. If you have insurance already I would just keep it.

If they both work for Starbucks they might not need to get on the same plan though right?

No they can do it separately
