Do you guys ever get sore after 8 hours on bar? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I always feel exhausted after my shifts and my back always hurts. Today was my last day and I was the only one actually working. I’m so glad to be done with Starbucks it’s so exhausting I worked over 65 hours the past 2 weeks and my paycheck only came out to $590.00 It’s not a good way to make a living.

Sorry to hear that. My son is near to quit too. It seems Starbucks doesn't care any more about baristas Plus the benefits are not even great. Something better will come in your way. Best wishes.

You’re not supposed to stay on a station for more than two hours. They can’t force you to as far as I know.

They absolutely can force you. The 2 hours thing is only a suggestion to prevent soreness and injury but if youre the only partner who can bar during the shift then thats where youre going. Its an overall shitty situation but forcing a so called "register person" to bar would make it worse. A great solution is for starbucks to increase pay and increase labor but we all know they wont do that.
