Customers just love to be mad (self.starbucksbaristas)

This lady came over to my bar and stood in front of it and i didnt have any stickers so she didnt have a drink. So i asked "hi, what did you order?" Since she just came from the register, and she just stared and looked me in the eyes. So i asked again and she kept staring at me. So i stared back and we stayed there for like 30 seconds until my GM came by and asked her, and she finally said "im waiting on my food." And my GM then said "ok we were just trying to find out since we didn't take your order" and then customer said "can i just get my food and go please." And then I walked away but my GM and her started to have a back and forth and in my head, all of this could have been avoided if she just answered my question 😑😑😑

I really think there ought to be a requirement that everyone has to work for at least 3 months in food service (whether that’s before graduation from high school) or before a certain age. People literally have no clue what it’s like. Not trying to defend the customer at all, but I had the similar but opposite experience the other day while I was in drive bar a customer who it seemed had place an order in the cafe got my attention and was asking me where her food was even though I hadn’t moved from my spot at the espresso machine aside to turn around and grab some ice coffee. Like ma’am do I look like I have any idea what you ordered or where it is?

Was she at the ordering window?

I ignore people at the pick up window.

Nah. She was in café, ordered at the register(only food) and walked to the bar.
