two separate orders (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by safiyatutu
Just a mini rant while I’m on my 10...
I’m fairly new and I genuinely love my store (most times) but the customers. None of them ever let me know when they have two orders, they usually just stare at me with their credit cards in their hands until I ask. Like cmon HELP ME HELP YOU ffs! And it’s to a point where a customer got upset I didn’t know she had 3 separate orders and complained (loudly) that I was incompetent

Your DTO should be noting whether they have separate orders so you don’t have to guess. The customer isn’t wrong here, sorry. Utilize the ask me and simply put 1,2,3 under each to solve this issue?

Edited to add: customer isn’t wrong that they expected you to know that - NOT how they reacted to that. Let your DTO know they need to do their part.

I think this is more of a they ordered all at once without saying it’s separate and then at the window say it’s separate type of situation

definitely true (in terms of DTO letting me know), but my complaint was more the attitude of the customers honestly lol

i always leave a note in the ask me that theres multiple orders like “1st bill” “2nd bill” etc. because this always happens and its annoying, maybe ask ur coworkers taking the orders to leave u a note/heads up

Sometimes a car in drive thru has multiple people who want to pay separately, so they have you send through the first set of drinks and then do a second set for a different payment
