hello fellow green beans, i am in a predicament, my baby cousin is getting brain surgery tomorrow 7 hours away from me. i have two shifts i need to cover and i got one covered. the second one i literally have no one to take it ive asked everyone from my store and even called our sister store in town and asked for help covering it. not a single person could. I am super stressed because ive never called out but this is really important to my family and i and i dont want to miss it because of one shift. what do i do? my store manager isnt much help with coverage and i dont know what to do

Just tell your sm what is happening and inform them you will not be coming in. Your family is more important than someone’s drinks.

go to your cousins surgery, call out they’ll understand being short. you have to remember that at the end of the day it’s just coffee
