Target starbucks question (self.starbucksbaristas)

I recently left my job at a tarbux to work at a corporate store. Upon leaving, my manager at the tarbux gave me a black apron because they had ordered some and felt that I deserved one for all the hard work I had put in while I worked there. The manager only gave me one apron which I’m fine with but I was just wondering, is tarbux able to still order black aprons as of this month? It was a few months ago when I left and got the black apron, so I was just wondering if I could talk to them about getting another one because I realized how easily I get them dirty (especially after being on bar all day and it doesn’t help that I’m naturally clumsy and am bound to spill something on myself any day I work). I literally have to wash it after every shift which is a pain and so I usually end up not wearing it. My corporate store manager really keeps bugging me to wear it more often since no other stores in my district have a coffee master. If anyone could just let me know if you can still order them and if I should reach out to my old manager and ask if I could have a back up. Thank you in advance!! P.S. I finished all the SGA readings and the coffee tastings so my new manager qualifies that at as a coffee master. Im also passionate about coffee and do a lot of research and reading on my own time so it’s not like I don’t have the coffee knowledge to wear it

I work at a corporate store and I’ve definitely ordered black coffee master aprons within the last four months.

Really? I’ve talked to my SM and he said that he hasn’t been able to order any. I’m not sure how the ordering works and if the black apron can be under a different name and that’s why he hasn’t ordered any... but my SM at my corporate store was the one who encouraged me to ask my old tarbucks manager if they could order more bc he couldn’t... he said he wouldn’t mind doing a payout for them so I don’t think it’s the fact he doesn’t want to order them... but my corporate store manager is fairly new to the starbucks company so maybe he just doesn’t know. I also read in another thread on here that you have to be registered as a coffee master in the starbucks system for them to order them. I’m not sure how true that is, but since they discontinued the program, I can no longer be registered as one

it’s no longer on the RP order, but i believe if she creates a store order it’s still on there. i created an order last week and was scrolling through everything and i’m 99% sure i saw it on there

Thank you! I will ask and let my manager know to see if they can get me another one

Yeah it’s on the create order thing. Searching up aprons brings up both

Your corporate manager should be able to order black aprons for you. Just ask and say you need more since you’re working so often!

Unfortunately corporate stores have discontinued the coffee master program and they can no longer order the black aprons :( apparently they haven’t been able to order them for over a year. My SM and DM both said it was okay if I wore it because I had finished coffee academy. However my manager at the tarbucks had literally ordered some right when I left a few months ago in March and that’s why I was able to get it.. I heard that tarbucks was keeping the black apron program but I don’t know if they can still order them currently or if it was like a one time thing that was on automatic shipment so sbux could get rid of all the black aprons they had in storage

Oh that’s really odd :/ I know they changed the program but I didn’t realize aprons were turned off
