Starbucks pros and cons of working (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Interested-Investor
Hello! I’ll make this explanation brief.

I’m a 20 year old college student who recently quit a very disappointing university job. I want to get a new job and have been offered a position at both Starbucks AND chipotle. While I know there are plenty of nightmare stories, can anyone give an honest opinion of what their work experience was like there? What should I expect environment, payment, and benefits wise? Does Starbucks have a tuition reimbursement program? Anything else I should be aware of? Thank you for your time!

I work both and they both have their pros and cons. Chipotle is far more fast paced and about speed and accuracy, Starbucks is 100 times more customer focused. They’d rather you not complete a task and “connect” with customers if an opportunity arises while chipotle’s customer base cares about speed and accuracy of orders. Chipotle gives approx. $5200 a year in tuition reimbursement at any college as well as the ASU free college program while Starbucks only has the ASU but we get Spotify and a few other benefits. both offer free food and drink while working.

The only tuition reimbursement for Starbucks is if you do college online through ASU

Not sure about the US, but Starbucks Canada does tuition reimbursement up to $1000 a semester

US is only through ASU, not any college.
