Bangs? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by MiyaDoesThings
Hi there! I’m a green bean who starts tomorrow! I’ve worked in food service before so I know I have to have my hair tied back, but I have bangs and I’m not sure what to do with those. When I interviewed the manager didn’t mention anything about it, and they’re not long enough to get in my eyes and too short to clip back. Does “hair out of your face” mean bangs too? Any ideas on how to keep them out of my face?

edit: Turns out we have to wear hats so I was worrying for nothing haha

I have bangs! We don’t have to wear hats and I never have them clipped back :)

i recently got curtain bangs and no matter what i do they don’t stay pinned. nobody has made a fuss about it, so i think you’ll be fine. if you want you could ask your SM/SSV about it or another barista with bangs?

two of my coworkers have bangs that kinda cover their eyes, they only tie back the rest of their hair and they dont clip back their bangs

I had bangs when I started! We have to wear hats on the floor. You kinda just have to swoop your bangs into the hat, but any fliers that won’t fit are fine. The only problem would be if your hair falls out into drinks but you should be fine.

As long as you arnt touching them you should be fine. Any hair that touches your shoulder or longer has to be pulled back, but if you have bangs it's fine. If you find yourself constantly moving then out of your face to do things, then I'd recommend wearing a head band. Everytime you touch your hair, eyes, face or anything along those lines you have to constantly wash your hands
