I’m an opener 5 out of 7 days of the week, does anyone else get so exhausted after work that they sleep for 3+ hours? I just feel like i’m wasting my day away sleeping but i can’t help it!!

I used to be an opener and had this issue. Just make sure you’re getting at least 6-8 hours and then try and reduce your naps to about 20-40 minutes. Just set an alarm. I’m opening all week this week, I feel your pain

I used to open all the time! Get off at 1pm, take a nap and its 4pm or 5pm not wanting to do anything else.

I have been closing since January and our closes are until 9pm so Im not home until 9:30ish. I am moving back to mornings next week and I am not prepared either!! my sleep schedule is so messed up lol. Most of my opening shifts are gonna be 5am, 6am, or 4:30am on Sundays. its gonna suckkk

The day before your first opening shift, make yourself get up early, like 3-4am. That way you can fall asleep super early and it’s not as bad. Don’t let yourself nap though

YES. Post-work naps feel great, but they take away so much time.

Naps are healthy. I used to have a 5 am shift for 4 days out of the week. I would specifically only sleep 4 hours previous to the shift, ensuring I get at least a 2-3 hour nap after. Days not doing the 5 hour shift I sleep as normal. I did have to train my body for this.
