Okay so I've been a closing SSV for 2 years and about 6-8 months ago, I've become the main opener due to staffing and we lost 2 SSVs and a manager at the same time (It was rough).
I can always get my items counted prior to peak but I usually place the order after the openers lunches. Collectively, it probably takes me 35 minutes to do the entire thing. I know my store well but I also am a very precise person and use a calculator for my PARs.
My manager had me shadow her the other day and she did the ENTIRE THING in less than 12 minutes while baristas were still putting away the order. She uses the order receipt and adds it to what she counts.
Does anyone have any tricks for placing the order? I'm always way more stressed on order mornings because I'm always scared I wont get it done in time.
