If there’s a lot of orders on oven, pull a few out and see how you can organize it. Make two of the same item even if they’re separate orders since the oven has a setting for two. Put bagels in together if they’re different flavors. I put everything that isn’t warmed in a separate pile and fill those orders when I’m standing around waiting for the oven to finish.

Also, keep an ear out for orders if you’re near the register or have a headset. Saves time instead of waiting for a ticket.

Basically, anytime you’re just standing in front of the oven, find another order to fill. If it’s busy, usually the handoff person or register person can run the completed orders down to the customers

All this ^^^ also, if I'm warming single items, I try to have one item ready to go in as the oven beeps, slide it in, and in the same swing, take the item that is done out.
If you are a DT store, headsets help to know what food is being ordered before stickers even print. I also keep an ear out on cafe pos so I know when a food item is being ordered.
Warming or drive thru bar on a busy morning is my fave place to be. You'll get faster with time, so just be patient with yourself.

when you put food into the oven, it helps to take the appropriate bag it goes into and open it up with the tongs so it's easier to just slide into the bag. i know this seems obvious and you may already do this, but fsr i hadn't even thought of it until i saw my coworkers doing it. just make sure you have your bags ready to go before you take food out of the oven. and if they're bagels, to put a knife and cream cheese/butter in so you don't have to deal with that later. don't pull a bunch of mobile stickers all at once unless they're from the same order, it can get super overwhelming. obviously don't let food stay in the oven too long, but it's okay to let it beep a few times if you're busy doing other things. when there's downtime, stock up on whatever food items you're running low on. if you're in a pinch, don't be afraid to flag down the CS/front person and see if they can grab you something from the back if you need it/run the food over to handoff, usually they'll be glad to help out. it takes practice and you won't get into a good rhythm right away, so don't stress yourself out. take a moment to breathe if you have to. it's not the end of the world if Debra has to wait a little longer for her bacon gouda.

I do my best to not stress cause I’m still relatively new I just want to do my best as to not drag everyone down with me lol. I can do bar and make drinks but I’m just slow at it ik practice will get me faster and the oven has just always been a struggling point for me cause I’m never on ovens I’m mostly a DT person and a bar person
