What you could do is put a heaping scoop of ice from the size under the drink. Like if the drink is grande I put a heaping tall scoop of ice. This usually gives you just enough of to fill the drink and have nothing left over. If you don't fill up the drink add more ice, base or whatever. Then mix and you good to go. I always found that if you use the same size ice scoop for the drink it always leaves more drink left over and fruit can stay in the leftovers and clog the drains. Just make sure you fill the drink though

tbh I've been building the drink in the cup and then pouring it into the shaker to shake because that way there's nothing left over lol

Mine don’t come from overfilling, but from making a drink wrong and having to dump the whole thing.

Wait, all of this to prevent the strawberries from staying in the shaker?

I used to just add the strawberries before the ice so it tends to dump out with all the liquid

Wise words my guy 🙌🏻

I don't know if I'm just baby but I would actually gag having to use my bare hands to scoop out the strawberries and raspberries clogging the sink drains lmao

Bruh i just finger blast the drain lmfao

Use a spoon and a warming bag to scoop out the nasty strawberries. My coworker is also very grossed out by scooping out soggy berries out of the drain lol

I usually use a venti straw to let the water drain when the Milkwater really starts to build up and you can’t see the bottom. But after that I use my hands to scoop out the fruit and heavy cream globs... making sure to let all my partners know how disgusting it is lol

I have a thing about certain smells and textures but I'm one of the few people on morning shift who will get fed up with the sink being clogged so I end up having to put on a pair of gloves and pray I don't barf (the mask luckily helps with not being able to smell it)

Do you work at my store? Cause this is literally us right now with a flooding drain and a second one starting to get critical
jdestinyp 4 points 2y ago
Us too! Our right bar sink just started flooding the whole lobby the other day, we had a cute 6’ long puddle and everything 😌

There's a girl at my store who drinks refreshers and when she's done she'll dump the ice and inclusions into the dish washing sink. 😤

i don’t even use the shakers anymore honestly. berries in the cup first, juice to the bottom line, water/lem to the third, then ice. if it’s got coconut milk or if it’s the mango, i just dump it over into a second cup and pour it back into the first so it mixes a bit better.
