Favorite part of being a shift was when every barista wanted to work with me because I’d ask what role they wanted to be in that day and I’d keep it fresh by asking them again midway thru a shift if they wanted to be somewhere else or if they’re good where they’re at 😌

As a current shift, I try to do that too. Or if I know a barista prefers bar over dto I'll place them there. They know I will do my best to work with all of them. ☺️

I just get thrown on till none stop. Haven’t been on a position outside of till for maybe a year, spanning two different stores. My first store was the same.

Which is fine cause I hate bar lol.

Our temp ASM puts me in DTR for the entirety of my 8 hour shifts every single time she works with me. If I ask to move she straight up tells me “no, I will not.” She puts new beans on bar/cs who haven’t been trained yet just so she doesn’t have to put me there. Thank guck tomorrow is her last day before she moves halfway across the country 😫

(It’s been brought up to my SM but she just says “well I’m sure ASM had a good reason” like there is no good reason for keeping baristas in ONE spot for 8 hours)

Nope. If I ask she just ignores me or walks away. She has made it clear multiple times that she doesn’t like me, whatever the reason may be so I feel like that’s why I’m stuck on DTO by myself all the time.
