call your store, let them know that you have an infection, and call off. even if you calling out screws things up, they’ll be fine. your health is miles more important. Also it’s just a day and things happen! I hope ur eye gets better!!!

Thank you so much! I dont want them to fire me or think bad of me because it’s my first week
LoopyBitch1 points2y ago
yeah that makes sense, but depending on your ssv’s and sm, i doubt they’d judge you based on one day of being sick. even if they did hold a grudge or didn’t like you for calling off, you probably wouldn’t get fired for it.

Call out for sure! If you’re still training your call out will have minimal effect on the rest of the team (because you don’t cover the floor in training) and you’ll just have to work with your SM to add another training day on

If you are ok taking over the counter antihistamines like Zyrtec (cetirizine) or Claritan (loratadine) it could get you up and running. It helps me. Get the generic off brand (the names I put in parentheses) to save a lot of money. Follow the directions in mice type on the label. Sometimes you have to treat yourself to keep going. Also, just being upright will help the swelling to subside. Try some coffee if you make it at home too, caffeine helps most things.

Are you planning to go to the doctor? If it were me and I wasn’t going to the doctor I’d toss some allergy eye drops in and see if that helps. If not I’d call and explain and see if they want me to come in.
But if you’re planning to be seen by a doctor I’d definitely try to get in before the shift to see if I could still work.
Like I said though, that’s just me. I also have bad allergies so this wouldn’t be a surprising situation for me where it may be for you and you could feel completely differently about it.

I’m not sure what it is, I dont usually get allergies like at all
