rip to my store (self.starbucksbaristas)

People are quitting left and right.
There are 5 SSVs (and that's including me).
One quit with no notice. Another is interviewing at jobs and will likely quit soon. And another is also interviewing for a new job.
That leaves myself and one other SSV and our store manager (we don't have an ASM), if those two leave.
Baristas are also quitting left and right.
I've only been with Starbucks for 3 months 😭 I have no idea what out store is gonna do.
Send help 😭

Corporate needs to wake the fuck up and realize just how many unhappy employees they have. Changes need to be made.

Honestly, I feel you. I am a Barista Trainer and am trying so hard to do my part to get qualified and hard-working folks trained and ready for our busy drive-thru store. I told myself once I did my part and trained others, I would allow myself to quit because I hate contributing to the understaffing issue but at this point, people are leaving faster than the manager can hire and I can train (I'm one of two trainers who are not also supervisors so I'm doing a lot of training).

I don't even think we have established barista trainers at my store 😭 We are a hot mess. Have an awful manager, too. And our location is one of the busiest cafe locations in our district 🥴

This is what happens when you pay your overworked, abused employees like shit. If you can afford THOUSANDS of dollars in Happy Hour drinks, but take away an ‘essential workers’ COVID pay after a few months, your business deserves to feel the hit. This is why I quit. Only kids can afford to work there, they don’t provide a living wage.

At my cafe store we have a high homeless population around the store and a lot of crime in the parking lot (im not saying they are connected, both give us different issues), but we've lost several good employees because they just don't feel safe when cars are being broken into and how many ppl hang around our patio after close. Most have said that if the pay was higher they'd deal with it since they would be able to afford the broken window or stolen items from their cars. Plus the amount of anti maskers getting verbally agressive with us doesn't help (Masks are still required at my store)

While we're by far not the busiest store in the area, we are the closest to a very large corporation and therefore get a lot of their traffic before work and during people's breaks or lunches which causes very crazy rush times for a 3 man floor

We have had 6 people leave the store in the last month. I’m just so tired lol

Y’all have 5 SSVs? We have 2 (and one is going to be training to be an ASM soon, so...)

Welp 😬 I guess we're about to have 2, either way. Don't know how y'all do it.
