Me looking for other jobs waiting to turn in my letter like 👁👄👁

I have a second job that doesn’t have many hours but is at least something. Literally everywhere is hiring right now, so def now is the time to more aggressively job hunt and leave this hellhole.
I would actually take transferring to a smaller store as an option but my manager absolutely would block it.

I think you can apply directly instead of applying as a transfer too (maybe someone can verify though!)

If you’re currently with the company, you can’t apply directly; you would have to quit and reapply at a different location. If you want to do that, I would encourage you to talk with the manager of the store you want to transfer to. I know it would be a red flag for me if I saw that on your application without knowing the story behind it.

I thought that was changed with the way they changed promotions (but I could be wrong!)

Just transferred. As long as you don't have any issues with job performance or infractions, your current manager can't do shit.

The location I'd ideally transfer to is run by someone who is besties with my current manager :( He has already said he won't take me like twice because my current store is understaffed. And I'll be honest, I was ready to NC/NS and just forget the company exists after their too-fast response to the new CDC guidelines about vaccine = no mask.

Does anyone have one they’d like to share?! Lol I’m about to drop it off this week and just curious as to what others are saying... I’m afraid of backlash on my last days. I saw it happen to a SSV on her last two weeks it was hard. Had a conversation two weeks ago about my availability needing to be “more open” when I work 15 hours a week. And now I’ve been at the window everyday! 😅🤨

I once worked at a local coffee chain that was absolutely MISERABLE to work for. I quit with no notice and left my key and note in a sympathy card that said "Sorry for your loss." Felt real good. Highly recommend.

don’t overthink it. it’s not a breakup letter, it can genuinely be “to x, i have recently found more promising employment employment elsewhere and so my last day here will be z.” you don’t owe starbucks or any future employer a long list of explanations- not do you have to bend over backwards to make your manager feel like it wasn’t their fault or the fault of the company. don’t be afraid of backlash, two weeks notice is a COURTESY. it is not required. if you give your notice and they try to punish you during your remaining time, simply walk out the door. you’re worth more than how they’re treating you

Carried mine in my wallet for months, and then instead of the post it note I had.. I rewrote it on a piece of computer paper in BIG LETTERS.
