Tall cup for the extra rant(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Sdee1234
I don't give out the extra frap in more cups. You decided to ask for a million mods in your beverage that F#@&$ recipe standards up so bad that it makes more than fits in the size cup YOU ordered. Im not gonna reward that. 🤷♀️

I just short the milk and it will fit

We have a regular that comes just about every day and gets mad if the rest of her quad espresso frap isn’t in a tall cup and it’s just like how entitled could you be??
bigasstittiestimes218 points2y ago
Pro tip is to just let the espresso, milk, and frap roast just chill out for a minute or two so that the shots cool down enough to not cause the frap to expand when blended.
4 shots in a tall EF is pushing in though. You could also just coach the customer on ordering a ‘tall, in a grande cup’ so as to avoid the annoyance entirely.

Standard is to first pull shots into the cup, then pump frap roast into shots, then milk to the first line. There won’t be enough left over soooooo 😈 I just learned this standard lolol
BunnyKerfluffle-77 points2y ago
That's not being entitled. She paying for the four shots, she should get the shots she paid for.
aisecherry23 points2y ago
in that case the shots can be poured over as affogato shots if thats what they want. im pretty sure it's actual policy that customers are ONLY entitles to what will fit in the cup
sydbey_21 points2y ago
lol but like do people go anywhere else and pull this particular type of shit? No.
devhelix2 points2y ago
She should. They dont really understand the mechanics of what theyre asking for anyway

I had one regular learn to do this from another regular...except she tried it with Every single drink she ordered so everyday I had to explain to her why I cannot put the *extras* of her macchiato into a small cup for her. I eventually gave up and just gave her a short cup with a few drops of steamed milk, I hope she felt stupid.

I remember when I first started working at Starbucks. My understanding was that they paid for the cup size and got whatever fit within the cup. So one day it was really busy and we we making millions of Frappuccino’s. So I had to keep grabbing the used ones to wash them so we could utilize them again. Well apparently a woman had asked for the extra of her drink in another cup. I did not hear that request so I went and washed the blender. Anyway she threatened to break my hand. To which I told her that she couldn’t come play at my location anymore.

😳😳😳 an assault charge and a ban over some "coffee"... That's crazy.
Vilali4 points2y ago
If they're a regular and/or nice to us (i.e. treat us like humans, tip, etc.) I do it. But if you're rude, nah.
diabolicaltoot3 points2y ago
Shit you not a lady asked for like 10 espresso shots in her vanilla bean Frappuccino and insisted me to make it still even explaining that its not going to work. I eventually got the cup filled to the 2nd line... I gave half of the espresso in another cup cause I was not gonna do it.

Starbucks standard is 💯 they get what fits in the cup size they ordered.
OneRoseDark-6 points2y ago
I do this for nice people or regulars. I don't always, but hey -- you paid for the drink, you may as well get it all.
SalParadise8142 points2y ago
False. They paid for the size drink they ordered, not whatever didn’t fit in that size. If you wanna be extra nice, go for it. No judgement here. But don’t justify it by saying they paid for more than they did. That type of logic is what breeds entitled pricks.
sstcyr3 points2y ago
When I make a frap to standard there's always left over, ESPECIALLY with any of the ones that get whip top and bottom. So technically yeah, they're paying for the product that is making that size drink, the standard just exceeds the cup size and we toss the excess.
So I can see it both ways. But the golden rule is just don't be a prick.
OneRoseDark-15 points2y ago
They paid for the regular ingredients of the drink and, also, paid for four extra shots. Hence.. they paid for it.
embrACEable_me10 points2y ago
They paid for a drink containing those 4 shots. If they want the 4 shots as a separate drink they pay more and it comes in its own cup.
