So, not too too long ago we got a new store manager, and personality wise, he’s better than our old one, but responsibility wise, he’s not.

It took him 2 hours to get heavy cream from a store that is 5ish minutes away, he takes all of his meetings at home (so he’s never actually at our store), and he just kinda leaves when he wants. He has not made any attempt to get to know any of the baristas, or anything. He had also texted all the shifts on a Tuesday saying he wouldn’t be coming in Friday due to him, “not feeling well”. He has also been cutting only 15 minutes all of my 6 hour shifts making them 5.75 hours basically taking my lunches.

I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do, or if there’s anything I can do, so like, could y’all spare some advice?

TL;DR my store manager is Im p sure doing shit that’s against policy and I need advice as to what I’m supposed to do

You can always contact your district or regional manager. But your other responder is right. Have documentation.
But first, as far as your hours go. Ask your store manager. You can mention that the 5 hrs and 45 min. is too much without a 2nd rest and you'd rather have the 6 hrs and the lunch. Or ask him why he's cut you from 6 hrs to 5 45.

document document

keep a note in your phone with dates, times, who else was there at the time, and what was done that you think is sus

you probably won’t ever have to use it for anything. But if problems arise, it’s better to have the bones for a case than be without one.

I hate six hour shifts with a half that leaves me with 5.5 clock hours. What a waste of my time.
