It gets split between all partners, depending on how many hours they worked that week

The tip gets split between the staff based on hours. If you want to personally tip a barista you have to go to the hassle of giving them an envelope WITH their name on it otherwise they can get in trouble. Tips are not really tips, they are an extra .50-1.00 an hour to make wages a little bit more livable for some.
