It’s crazy how variable the days are at this job.... (self.starbucksbaristas)

Like I’ve worked retail in the past and this job is honestly a god damn pendulum of emotions.
Yesterday I was literally ready to walk off on the spot and unalive myself, was one of the worst shifts i’ve ever worked at any job period.
Today we’ve been super busy but everyone has been so kind, polite, and talkative on window. I finally got some bar time and got sequencing down pretty good and only had to ask a couple questions for less common drinks (2 week green bean).
Literally for me this job can he so great but it literally flip on its head and make me question every life decision I’ve made up to this point- can anyone relate?

I definitely relate. Some days I absolutely adore my job, others I feel so so violently awful. I really think it has a lot to do with how the customers have treated me that day- it's hard to stay in a good mindset when people verbally abuse you when you're just trying to serve them coffee lmao. Hang in there, I'm sure you're doing great.

Yeah the other day I was sobbing in the bathroom floor cause the customers were rude and baristas were snapping at me (specially one but what ever) I was so utterly ready to quit then the next day everyone was sweet I got a 20$ tip and it was great
