Does anyone think Starbucks might’ve made the new summer drink bad on purpose to avoid having supply issues with it? It’s the only justification I can think of for why it’s so awful 🥲

That's why I'm glad the s'mores didn't come out this year. Imagine how many we would have to make and how angry customers would be if we ran out of the ingredients... I never had it so I'm not sure what I'm missing out on but still haha

The s'mores is pretty good! I'd say it's at least 50x better than the funnel cake one. The star of the show is the marshmallow whipped cream which tastes great on lots of stuff and, imo, is worth it to deal with making two different whipped creams (I religiously used it last summer on everything I wanted to drink).

It's really that bad. The creme version is certainly better than the coffee version, but the syrup is just bad.

There’s a partner at my store that orders a short pike with 8 pumps and oat milk. Needless to say I want to vomit thinking about it.

does it use artificial strawberry flavor, like in candy, because if so I totally get why it would be terrible. I can't stand that artificial strawberry, and who the fuck would eat that shit when legit strawberries are in season?

The syrup is a funnel cake flavored syrup that is bed. The strawberry comes from our strawberry puree (which is pretty much just reconstituted strawberry puree and white grape juice iirc).
