I am so tired of my schedule constantly being changed. adding hours, taking days away, adding days. I can’t plan my life with this ever changing schedule. how do i bring this up with my managers.

After the schedule is posted they cannot change it without asking you. And you don't have to agree with any changes. Also you cannot be scheduled outside of your availability. At corporate stores at least.

i wish i could find something on the partner hub about them having to ask us in regards to schedule changes

Haaaaaa, tell my SM about scheduling outside of availability. At least I'm done tomorrow.

Idk about your state, but here in Georgia it is state law for your employer to give you 2 weeks notice before changing your schedule. Doesn’t seem to stop my employee (Target), but I’d definitely look into it and speak with management.

A partner I used to work with had her schedule set up where she would always have Friday and Saturday off, according to her availability. This way she always knew she could use those days to do whatever she wanted on. This seemed to work best for her. But I would definitely ask your manager to schedule you for specific hours of the day as well if that makes it easier to predict when you’ll be at work and when you’ll have free time. Not only would I talk to your manager about hours but I would also tell them that you’re changing your availability as well. If your manager schedules you outside of your availability then you have a plausible excuse for why you can’t make the shift

Having a set availability often means a decrease in hours though, since you're not available to fill in for just any shift, obviously lol
If you're already pt then your hours might not change much, but if you're full time, and can't live comfortably by working less hours, then you might not want to do limit your availability to a set schedule. Many times when (good working) full time employees ask for a set schedule, it pisses the boss off because now they have to find a replacement who's hopefully as good of an employee as you were, though usually there's not many hard workers to throw around, which is why this move often pisses bosses off, and many will cut your hours more than needed just out spite.
So keep that in mind before making your decision.

It really depends on the manager and what type of schedules they do. A good manager will hopefully work with you on your schedule if they value you as an employee. I asked my manager to only schedule me from 10am-6pm and they were really understanding and easy to work with. I also still got to work full time. Obviously if the store is still doing block schedules then it will be easier to pick a time frame. But I think either way it’s important to let the manager know that they need a consistent schedule and the only way to get that is to either pick time frames or days to work in my opinion. Bad managers are the ones that will cut hours for spite. I understand not everyone is lucky enough to have decent managers, however

>. I understand not everyone is lucky enough to have decent managers, however
That was mainly what I was warning of. I've only ever had one nonabusive manager in my 17 year, 5 job work history. I'm extremely weary lol

We had a partner call the support center about this and apparently you CAN be scheduled outside of availability and are liable for the shift. So... availability is more a preference than a restriction. Not sure about changing schedules though, call support for that.
