military dude spazzes on me today b/c we don’t offer free drinks for vets. Male karen explains that he deserves free things because he ; “has smelled burning flesh” (ie. ww2) among other battlefield tragedies. I explain that there is only one day we honor free items for vets, & that’s on Veterans day but thank him for his service. He takes this personal. Projects I’m a gamer by chance?? & pins me for it..idk maybe my glasses says I’m a nerd? Says I wouldn’t understand his frustration because I’ve never experienced “real combat”. lmao Anyways this ruined my day, second customer in. Shoutout to all my vets, but you are not superior to civilians because of the career YOU chose.

Oh this guy who refused to wear a mask (back when we were allowed to enforce them) decided that I was only “picking on him about the mask” because he was a disabled war vet. Which I didn’t know until he emailed my district manager a novel. She gave him a $25 gift card along with making all the SSV and SM listen to him in a teams meeting for three hours on sensitivity. Oh and if your his daughter who works at starbucks who told him this behavior was okay, i hope every lid is slightly to small for you today!

I had a woman one time fight us at the window that she should get a discount for her deceased veteran husband and my SSV came over and manually applied a discount. I was honestly pissed because I find it trashy to use a dead veteran to get a discount. Like lady you just aren't special or important.

I took an Osteology class during which my professor got a case, we got to help her with it because it’s better to learn “ on hand” I too know what burnt flesh smells like but that doesn’t warrant free coffee. people are so silly. it hurts me
