Occasionally, when we warm our food especially cheese danishes there will be black specks covering the whole thing. We still have the old ovens and im wondering why this happens. Does this happen to your stores?

its weird because it ONLY happens on the cheese danishes. ive never seen those specks on anything else now that I think about it 🤔

Every day. We clean both ovens every day, and it still always happens.

Yessss, I talked to my shift that’s been with my store for almost 10 years & she said it’s always been like that. She says it’s not the oven but the danish when it cooks but when I fold the warming paper over the danish there’s no black specks at all? So I think she was just making an excuse, it’s definitely the ovens. It grosses me out and I always fold the paper over the danish so it’s covering it when I’m on oven. We clean our ovens daily as well & it still happens every time even in a freshly cleaned one.

I put cheese danish in the oven cheese side down, and it prevents the black specs on the cheese, also makes the top golden brown and yummy

that’s a smart idea !

Oven or filter isn't being completely cleaned, or not cleaned daily. Or you had something in there earlier in the day that wa small enough to burn to a crisp without catching on fire and the fan blew it all around and the flakes landed on the food.

It’s the sprinkled sugar on the top of the cheese danish
