annoying "guests" (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Fatkidsid09
I work at tarbucks and we call our customers guests for whatever reason and they are far from guests. This guy came in today with his friend or whatever and when I told this man that were out of coconut milk he acted like I just killed his family and was like "I don't know what's wrong with starbucks these days." And I literally told him we have a shortage and he started mumbling crap to his friend. I have these people so much they act like everything is our fault

Starbucks customers sure act pretentious for people who go to a chain coffee store.

>he acted like I just killed his family

I've been put in this position for the past 8 weeks since I started at Sbux and at that time we were out of oatmilk. In that district where I work, oatmilk is a very big deal for them fancy folks.

Yesterday I also got an attitude from a pre-pubescent kid who ordered a couple of fraps and cake pops. She flexed a couple of credit cards(???) and handed me over a $100 bill and then gave me even more attitude when I told her it would be very very cool if she had smaller cash or could pay with other payment methods.

Update: now I have the same “pleasure” whenever I have to break the news to them that we don’t have Splenda/Guava Juice/Peach Juice anymore. I…got 5 tantrums thrown at me today, lol. So grateful my SSV and SM got my back.

I mean I liked oat milk too but I didn't go around yelling at people for not having it😭

I’ve seen so many tantrums as if someone just took a dump onto their head, despite me trying to tell them it’s not the stores fault, it’s logistics and it’s out of our control and we can still offer other non-dairy milk.

It’s ridiculous because most people here in the area think oat milk is the lowest in sugar (it’s not), and they order that drink with oatmilk but then with an atrocious amount of vanilla/cinnamon dolce syrup, saying “I watch my calories and I’m on a low carb diet”, sure...friend 🙄

If your Target has a grocery that man could have probably gone and bought himself a quart of OM, not that you should use it, don't do that, but he could drink it and save $

I also work in a Tarbucks, even our grocery has been out of oat milk for about a month now

Also work at a tarbucks. "I don't understand why the person on the other side can't help you." Well seeing as we still have a food ave and they only schedule 2 people per shift... yes. Let me have two people up front at all times while only having 30 minutes to close after.

Our team lead wants everyone in deli to be trained on our register but when we try to ask them for help they always always seem so annoyed that we're asking them for help like it's our fault we need help. And even our team lead does that and she only always works in deli never in Starbucks. Tarbucks is very stressful.

We don't have a deli. We do have our front end being trained to help buuuut we have one TL who hates that and gets so pissy when we need help
Fatkidsid09 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
We stopped asking for help over the walkie because nobody ever comes and helps so we just suffer in silence 😂
penis-ylvania 1 points 2y ago
No one bothers to help, then you always have that one TL who comes through the line and gets pissy by how long the line is with one person working :,)
