Yes. I dislike bar too and will gladly sacrifice my bar time for other to learn lol. Also I hate the internalized hierarchy that people who are never put on bar are trash and the people who are on bar all the time are superior. I literally heard a barista say he feels people look down on him because he’s never put on bar.
Good for you for breaking the mold.

of course. why wouldn’t it be?
i LOVE being CS. i can move around, I decide what needs to be done, i support my group without pressure being put on me. i don’t have to interact with customers. and i get to follow a steady cycle so i’m always busy.

Of course it’s ok. As CS, quite frankly, you’re the back bone of the team. Without someone as CS, everything would quickly fail and go to hell. Especially during peak.

Not at all, honestly I change what position I prefer depending on my mood haha. If I don't feel like dealing with people customer support, if I want to be really talkative and social pos, if I want to stay busy but still talk bar, if I want to stay busy but not socialize warming. It just depends on the day

I love being on CS because I think I am pretty good at it. It sucks when there is someone on CS that doesn’t keep up with the important things. Also the majority of my coworkers hate being CS so it works out for me. Also my mind is always racing anyway so it just matches my vibe.

My only input is if you only like CS and you happen to be on shift with a lot of like minded baristas, you’re going to be unhappy sometimes.
