TLDR: I cant find/don’t have access to site to complete green bean courses. Link please?
So I started my first day as a green bean today, and my manager asked me to do some of my training courses online at home. Just so I can focus more on the floor while at work, doesn’t bug me. I’d rather actually work at work anyways
SO I can’t find the site do do my training, and I found one site that lets me put in my partner number and I answered my security questions and put in my password, but then it says access denied so..... I’m not sure what to do here?
My manager said that if my training isn’t done my partner number won’t work on the app, or in stores for discounts (and today I wasn’t able to use it for drinks while on shift had to use another partners number) AND she said I won’t get paid until my training is finalized in the system.
Can anyone link the site? I know my store number and everything.

This seems really weird to me... pretty sure this is very wrong. As far as I know, all your training should be done in store while you’re on the clock. Getting paid. With partner numbers that work.

My partner number works in the store on their computers, but not in the PCOS systems. It logged me into one website at home then said I had access denied. Not sure if I’m messing up there. My manager wants me on the floor for all of my training. Today I was on the floor the whole day and even got to start making drinks, things went pretty smoothly (because I’ve been a bartender for the last 4 years). My friend is an ex partner and told me they did their training in the store too, but my training is only 3 days then my first “real shift” is this Saturday.
I texted my manager and I’m just waiting for a response now. It’s just 9pm and I feel super annoying.

I don’t think that I was using the right site, Google was kinda sending me on a wild chase and I couldn’t remember what we used today. I tried what you just said though and I got on! Thank you so much.
My manager got ahold of me and just asked me to finish the barista basics and then whimis (workplace hazard info) and the rest I can do on my time at work. Thanks so much for your help(:

Write the time you spend on training in the DRB and get paid for it. Time worked is time paid, and you are strictly NOT allowed to work off the clock.

Absolutely do not do training at home. You need to be paid for training, and doing that at home means you won’t

You should absolutely not be doing training at home, you are to be paid for all time worked.
If your SM says any differently, you need to discuss with your DM.

You literally can’t do any modules at home, they have to be done on a Starbucks device… hope you got this sorted, because your Manager doesn’t seem to know what they’re talking about.

I’m fairly certain that training at home = working off the clock, which I’m also fairly certain is illegal since you’re not getting paid

Do NOT do your training at home. I believe the system will actually not let you access it at home because you’re not supposed to do it off the clock.
You should be scheduled in your training for enough time to complete the training modules, AND have time on the floor.
Also, your partner numbers should work from the day you’re hired - I was hired mid February and began training in March, and could still get the discount and mark outs in the meantime

I don’t know why my partner number isn’t working I’m the store then, but it lets me log online. My manager said it’s because my modules aren’t finished but I guess that could be wrong

You can’t do it from home. You can only access partner portal from a Starbucks laptop or desktop.
