Not too sure what Starbucks job offer I should take? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by YourEvilHero
So I recently got hired by a Starbucks in another town, pending background check when it completes I’ll be all set. This Starbucks has a drive thru and is a bit more busier then the Starbucks I applied at which didn’t have a drive thru. However it’s a guaranteed hire basically. The downside is the town is about 16 min drive/10 miles away and im not too sure if I’m getting a car this week yet or not, so if I don’t I’m most likely not going to get the job, but if I do I’ll be all set with transportation.

Then yesterday afternoon I was contacted by another Starbucks at a hospital. Which doesn’t have a drive thru and I’m assuming the Starbucks there isn’t as busy. This Starbucks is a 40 minute walk or an 8 minute drive just 1.5miles away. Now getting hired here is not a guarantee they basically emailed me back asking interview type questions rather then asking about an in person interview.

What would be better? The Starbucks I’m basically guaranteed to get a job with, pending I get a car or try a whole new Starbucks? I don’t believe I can work at two different locations at the same time, correct? This hospital Starbucks is open 3-4 hours less then the normal Starbucks is.

is the starbucks in the hospital licensed? if so you won’t get the same benefits so keep that in mind

How would I find out if it’s licensed or not? I did apply through the Starbucks website. I’ve seen target Starbucks workers on here saying they get paid more, are those Starbucks licensed by any chance?

Target Starbucks locations are all licensed stores. That also accounts for airports, university, and grocery store locations. So they’re technically target employees not Starbucks. If the store isn’t on the Starbucks site it’s not corporate. You can also ask if they are and they’ll tell you. If they don’t accept partner numbers they’re licensed. The hospitals may be just as busy if more so than the DT store. Keep in mind you won’t get the added benefits of working at corporate like discounts, ASU, mark outs, benefits, etc.

if it’s through the website i’m like 98% sure it’s corporate

I would try for the hospital first, if it is not a licensed, being close to work is a bonus and it could be really nice getting to know all the regulars that work at the hospital. I work at a busy drive thru location and can be vicious but also can be nice if you’re just trying to grind away and make money because the time does go by fast. It’s really gonna depend on your crew at that store!
