So I’ve been trying to get a barista position for literally a month now, I’ve applied to other places and I get nothing. Anyways they recommend me to call the store manager to speed up the process, but when I do, she’s never there!!! And I never even get an update on my application, like just tell me if you’re interested or not I’ll be fine!! I’m going to be a high school senior this fall and I want to work to save up for college but this place is my last resort and idk what to do to even land an interview :(

You might just have to wait, I applied in February and didn’t hear back from them till the end of April. If they need/want you they’ll call you eventually. If not you’ll have to look some where else

u should always try to call before noon. im pretty sure its universal that managers work morning shifts!

I'd edit that till usually about 10-1 most weekdays. Before about 10 is most locations is peak, and you don't want to be stressing out a manager during that.
Mondays can be easier or harder based on luck- they're usually more administrative days for managers, so they might not be as tethered to the floor, but they also might be completely out for a meeting, sometimes.
Past that, OP, what's your application look like? Are you trying to only work during summer or during the school year as well? Starbucks isn't really a summer job, it can take that long just to feel comfortable.

call or go in person and ask the barista for the manager’s schedule! that way you can come in one day when you know she’s there :)

What should I say to her when I’m able to talk to her? An update on my application??? If we can schedule an interview??? This is my first time applying for a job so I’m very confused how this works

hi just call and say "hi my name is [yournamehere] i'm calling to follow up on an application i sent in" then if the manager isn't there ask the person when the manager works next then call back then
