Did I miss something? Do we have a new drink? Someone came in and demanded something called a Lavender Drink today and said it's an offical Starbucks drink, not secret menu. Am one thoroughly confused manager today.

I had someone ask for a lavender latte the other day and I was like .. we don’t do that here. I’m assuming people see drinks from other countries and think they’re local.

I know the local stands in the area can make them so maybe they just assume lavender flavour is everywhere? Even my new hire thought we carried lavender flavour until she got back behind the bar

I can see that, I’m pretty sure Dutch bros and some other smaller shops have lavender as an option. I kinda wish we did too lol it’d be something different that isn’t cake flavored

It aint even cake flavoured. It's grease flavoured! Lavender would be so much nicer. It would be pretty versatile and mix pretty well with multiple items, including hot drinks, blended, shaken teas, hot teas, and iced drinks as well. But nope. We get grease .-.

HONESTLY I feel like the funnel cake was a huge waste because no one orders it. The lavender syrup would probably appeal to the same oatmilk crowd I’m sure it’d be super popular

No, we do not have a Lavender Drink.
Starbucks Canada had a lavender latte like three years ago, and I see "purple drinks" from the fan menu. Sometimes they're pulling things from other countries or reserve stores.

This lady was telling me that it was on the Starbucks website, front and centre. I even went and verified. But this has been ruminating in my head all day cuz it's just like "did I miss something important during the chaos?"

After 8 years in this job, boy have I learned that. It was just WAY too early in the morning to try to question further as to she meant with that level of attitude. Just put on the customer service voice and tried my best to understand and explain and offer another option.

There’s a new tiktok drink going around with passion tea and heavy cream I think and it’s kind of a lavender shade, maybe that’s what she meant? Regardless it’s not on the menu lol

Bloody tiktok drinks. Customers need to know by now that not everyone has tiktok, nor knows everything that tiktok baristas come up with.
