So, I’m sitting at home and watching tik toks and thing person was talking about how she loved iced cappuccinos. And in my head I was like it’s just a latte. A cappuccinos needs to be hot so because the main difference is the frothed milk matched with the espresso. So I googled what’s the difference between and iced latte and an iced cappuccino. Are we suppose to be using cold foam on top for iced Capps? Like pour the shots, an equal amount of milk, then an equal amount of cold foam!?

P sure the standard is ice first, up to the top line, then espresso shots poured over ice, 2% to cover the ice and cold foam for the rest. Its important that the milk/espresso ratio isn’t the same as an iced latte. Think of it like an iced latte with cold foam and extra ice.

I don’t know the standard for an iced cappuccino so I follow a recipe that I found… Somewhere I don’t remember. Espresso milk to the middle line, ice to the top line, nonfat cold foam to the top of the cup

Nah, the milk/espresso ratio is wrong if you make an iced latte with cold foam. Then it’s an iced latte with cold foam. It’s more like espresso over ice with milk and foam.

I'm in michigan where we also have Tim Hortons their frap is called an icecap 🙃 I hate having to get people to specify over the dto. Customers don't know wtf they're ordering half the time

We used to have a cold foam cappuccino which was basically and iced latte topped with cold foam. But the way I was taught to make an iced cappuccino was to make and iced latte and top it off with steamed foam (yes hot). If someone wants a cold foam capp, just ring them up for an iced latte add cold foam. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Iced latte with cold foam doesn’t have the right milk/espresso ratio that defines the drink differences. Way way back when, it was an extra iced latte with hot foam. Even though the button is gone, the standard still remains (essentially) an iced latte with extra ice and cold foam. You should be able to ring it up at a cap and select iced.

Dunkin has it so it’s all 2% cold foam and no cold milk, and that’s how I like it best. I do ice, espresso, cold foam, and stir a lil.

In our store we just make foam with whole milk and we put the shots at the bottom. So it’s shots and then foam made with the whole mil in the cold foam pitcher.

As far as I know, the standard is still an iced latte with hot foam on top. They pulled the recipe cards for iced cold foam cappuccinos.
I should take another look, I'm a little unclear on that.
