Starbucks or goodwill? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by jm33557
Title. (21, M). I’m currently in college, graduating in 1.5 years. I currently work at goodwill since hs, however they do not offer pay increases.

I have an interview at Starbucks this week. I’ve heard many things, that it can be stressful, takes months to get comfortable, making all the drinks, drive thru etc. I heard it takes a while to learn everything.

Am I better off sticking it out at goodwill until I find a job/internship related to my degree, or should I try Starbuck until I find a job/internship. Thanks

Take whatever is paying the highest. A barista at my job has been there 6 years and still doesn't know everything.

Go with Starbucks man, getting exposure to other work environments is always going to be beneficial. Plus Starbucks is a good place to work. It’s stressful sure but what job isn’t when you first start

Go with sbux, you’ll learn it all. Stress but you walk out the door and you leave it behind. It’ll always be a backup, and the benefits are great
