To make things short, I finally got a call for an interview tomorrow morning! However I never worked before so I am NERVOUS. Any tips for a potential “green bean??” (I hope I used it right)

Honestly dude, just be your normal self, ask questions!!! Really connect with the manager that is interviewing you, they will not hire you if you are not seen as sociable!!

Be friendly, ask questions, and don't stress too much about the questions. They just want to see if you would work well with the team and under the pressure. Bring up a personal story or reason you would enjoy working there (I used to love making coffee as a young kid for any relatives who would visit) they love that! And they will need to know that you are ready to learn. only patience, time, and lots of practice can make a good barista. If they offer you a drink, take something off the menu rather than something super personalized.

“I think you’ll be a great fit! Anything I can get you to drink on your way out?”
“Yeah I’d love a Trenta Verry berry lemonade with half peach half guava and add açaí base extra straberry inclusions and berry inclusions and NO ICE, and a trenta cup of ice on the side plz :)”
“Alrighttttt sooo I’ll be reviewing my option and I’ll be In touch… thanks…”

Stress the importance of ~customer connections~, creating an environment that people are drawn to, and de-escalation in tense moments. There’s are some keys I was told helped me win over my interview. Good luck. This jobs more about customers then coffee, that should be your focus.
