Time varies but I would recommend calling one week after your application has been placed. So if you placed it yesterday (Wednesday, June 9th), call back Wednesday, June 16th. This way you stand out from other candidates and show initiative. And also, it’ll make sure that your name isn’t just in a pile on the managers desk that they never look at. It can also help if they need someone for specific times or you can preemptively answer questions they might have to clear up any confusion and show them that your flexible and can be of use. This definitely helped me secure my job.
