I recently became a new shift and got TERRIBLE training and need help with the following:
1. What do I do if a till is over/under?
2. What do I do if the safe is off?
3. When you par a till where are you pulling the money from to get it to the amount you need?

1. Adjust deposit
2. Adjust deposit
3. From the deposit. Then adjust it.

And if there is no deposit to pull from (i.e. morning counts) then pull from the safe, adjust the safe count, then put the reason for adjusting the safe was to par tills. Then the closers will adjust the safe back with the deposit at the end of the day.

1. Till is over/under? drop the extra in the deposit. You should report the actual amount of money in the till, not the amount that was supposed to be there.
2. safe is over? put the extra in the deposit. Safe is under? pull from deposit to par the safe.
3. Most Starbucks tills are parred at $200, but some stores have more or less based on business needs. Count everything in the till, subtract the par. Take the difference and put that in the deposit, you should be left with a parred till. example. Your par is $200, you count $273.24 in the till. Subtract: 273.24 - 200 = 73.24. Put the 73.24 in the deposit, and leave $200 in the till.
