Anyone else’s store start using the toddies for sweet cream and lemonade?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by moon_light523
My store uses so much lemonade and sweet cream that we make two toddies of it a day.....it’s crazy to me that we go through that much when other stores go through way less in a day 🙃

THIS. And they’re like, “date the vanilla bottle!” Uh. OKAY. Like I’m not about to use it all in the next 27 minutes
Sarahthelizard9 points2y ago
Honestly it’s a good reaction but yeah not 100% reasonable lol
Sparklingghost8 points2y ago
I would not risk it with ecosure lol
cinnamonmarigold1 points2y ago
Okay fair. We got docked for labeling white mocha “wm” lol
Sparklingghost1 points2y ago
Really??? I thought that was the correct labeling according to the standards and ID codes?
cinnamonmarigold2 points2y ago
It is I guess, but they’ve gotta have something to dock you on, ya know? We’ve continued to do so lol

I’ve been trying to get my SM to do this especially when we get the new cold brewing system but her thing is, we’d have to prop them up, what do you guys use? Especially with the new refresher set up..counter space is getting limited!

We keep them in the fridges in the back and we fill two liter pitchers up of it. We keep two of each out on the floor and when we use one up our cs or anyone who isn’t doing anything fills them up.
We’ve been doing this the last two weeks or so and so far it has worked out really well.
KarluhO10 points2y ago
Oh I thought you kept them up front. We keep 6 pitchers of lemonade and 2 vsc and fill them up with cubes we premake. We go through pitchers like every 1-2 hours though and I’d rather sit a toddy up on the counter and maybe 2 in BOH.
rosesandthorns1711 points2y ago
not but honestly we should start
matchababyy9 points2y ago
people started getting sccf on their TEAS and fraps 😅it's essential to do it in toddies now....
moon_light523 [OP]3 points2y ago
It’s honestly kinda crazy to me how they put them on teas and refreshers and stuff. It can’t honestly taste good
dayahorne3 points2y ago
Someone got a SARL the 9ther day and aske due to top it with scf, im sorry but 🤮🤮🤮🤮
kikuuq5 points2y ago
Gross because the acid in the lemonade could.make the cream in the vsccf CURDLE
barista194710577 points2y ago
What is a toddie 🧍🏻♀️
barista1947105720 points2y ago
WAIT PAUSE ISNT THAT WHAT WE MAKE COLD BREW WITH HOW THE HELL DO YOU EVEN MEASURE THAT
moon_light523 [OP]11 points2y ago
So at first night was just measuring it into cubes or the pitchers, but then we just calculated how many of those go into each and add it all together.
So a toddy of lemonade has 5 boxes of lemonade and to the top with water and I don’t remember the sweet cream but it has like 5 jugs of hc or something like that.

I would suggest the following: use the 5L cubes (ones with markings) and see how many fill up the Toddy. One 5L cube can be filled with 3L of HC, 1.75L of 2% and 1 bottle of vanilla.
If the Toddy takes 15L of liquid just multiply the ingredients by 3: 9L of HC, 5.25L of 2%, 3 bottles of vanilla. Whisk it up as best as you can and bam! Your store now has a modified standard you can teach green beans and one another.
Lemonade is different but similar. It's .75L of concentrate and 1.25L of water for 2L of lemonade. If the Toddy holds 15L, multiply all by 7.5 and get 5.625L concentrate and 9.375L water. That's gross so I would rather do 4.5L of concentrate (3 boxes) and that would now get 7.5L of water.
Considering a Toddy holds 14L of water and a whole ass bag of coffee grounds, 15L should be a reasonable estimate and the volumes of crap I suggested ARE from standard and could be used.

we just ordered a kurtis for strawberry açaí base
kikuuq6 points2y ago
TODDIES????? 🤯🤯
thats actually a good idea, but we only have enough toddies for the cold brew we need 🤔 we go through alot of cold brew 🙄
moon_light523 [OP]2 points2y ago
We started using them after we got the new cold brew thing
DieLawnUwU3 points2y ago
We finally got our store manager to let us put the açaí base in a curtis since we so much of it in a day
Missamum3 points2y ago
We have towers for water, cold brew and lemonade
harmlessZZ2 points2y ago
Um... how do you refrigerate the sweet cream...?
No-Cryptographer42132 points2y ago
our store manager has started using them for strawberry refreshers
Sparklingghost2 points2y ago
God I wish my store had the space for that, it’d be a game changer
moon_light523 [OP]1 points2y ago
We keep them in the milk fridges....idk if you guys have the room for that tho
Put_Me_In_Coach962 points2y ago
Also strawberry acai
heylookitssarah2 points2y ago
We’ve been using cubes lately. We pour it into the cold bar pitchers, and then usually have one or two cubes prepped in the drive thru fridge. People love their sweet cream in KY 🙃
moon_light523 [OP]1 points2y ago
Yeah that’s what we used to do lol
if4themew092 points2y ago
We use purs for strawberry acai, we go through 2-3 toddies a day!
FfierceLaw2 points2y ago
Does the toddy spout come apart to clean it after running dairy through it? Sounds like a great idea
moon_light523 [OP]4 points2y ago
Yeah they do
keskobalt1 points2y ago
We use a Curtis for SA and lemonade but store then and cubes and put sweet creme and cubes that we put in pitchers when in use. We have to constantly make more more of all so that almost all cubes are storing something constantly
AtTheBarMatt1 points2y ago
No sweet cream, but lemonade and SAR toddies
normaldud1 points2y ago
How do y’all keep the sweet cream toddy cold? I wish my store had the space to do that
moon_light523 [OP]2 points2y ago
We keep it in the milk fridge in the back, and then we bring it out in two liter pitchers
Exodemb1 points2y ago
Mine is so slow that I make it bu putting everyone it takes in the blender
InfiniteFriez1 points2y ago
I wish

We make it in cubes. We dump a whole thing of heavy cream, 700 ml of vanilla and fill it to 4L after all that with 2%.
moon_light523 [OP]1 points2y ago
We used to do that but we went through too much of it
ScalieDraggy1 points2y ago
We go through four liters of lemonade a day and two liters of sweet cream a day.
melodiic_2 points2y ago
2L a DAY? omg how slow is your store, we go through that in an hour or less during peak
