Nights are probably going to be the best time for development! Do you close with a shift you like? First things first- you need to learn to close the store. That comes first because no one wants to be there an hour late. But once you can hold your weight just ask your shift for some help and bar time.
If you need recipes just pull them up on POS and write them down. Review them when you can. That’s how I learned the Frappuccino’s.
I’m serious though, nights when things are slow are when you will learn the most if you’ve got a good SSV. I’m a closing shift and I’ve made it my mission to get all our green beans bar time to grow.

My favorite thing to give to all the green beans is a cup of each size (s,t,g,v, and t,g,v,T) and write on the bottom this;
shots (1,1,2,2 - 1,2,3,0) and pumps (1,3,4,5 - 3,4,6,7)
Just remember cold bar is the easiest to get the hang of first (use the measurements on the shakers to see what you need and how many pumps, and Fraps always get 2,3,4 pumps or scoops of everything (i.e. Gr green tea frap gets whole milk, 3 matcha, 3 half dose pumps classic, gr scoop ice, 3 pumps creme base, and blend on 1)
It took me a good 6 months before I was comfortable working on hot bar so don't worry about it. If you don't know a recipe and don't want to ask someone, use recipe cards or use the iPad resource (store resources>beverage recipes>core beverages)
If you wanna know literally anything you can use the iPads or partner hub. Or reddit ofc

That’s how I was trained because the manager I had at the time didn’t schedule people with an actual single trainer. So I had multiple people teaching me. I learned very quickly along the way though. And the other person is right, nights are the best time for development. Find someone you get along with, or you can tell is a patient person and doesn’t mind helping you out, and ask them how you do things.

ive been with the bux for about 3 months now and found a few different ways to help me learn recipes. i wrote down the hot/cold bar rules (size, shots, syrups) so many times, until i knew what i was gonna write before i wrote it & went from there. sometimes i still come into work early & scroll through the “store resources” for recipes. im not sure if its possible at your store, but another way is to stick to hot or cold bar for a shift to get used to a few & then branch out to the other side once youre comfortable. everyone learns differently so dont be afraid to reach out and let your supervisors know you just need some more time. you got this!!🖤
