All the green beans (self.starbucksbaristas)

Just looked at next weeks schedule and I’m closing 2 of 3 days with all green beans.

RIP me.

RIP in peace OP

Shout-out to my stores senior green beans (1-3 months) that valiantly attempt to help the fresh green beans (1-3 weeks) through opens/closes. The blind leading the blind, our training is wholly inadequate for the actual work required of our baristas the second they're "out of training".

We have only One Barista Trainer in our store but have had to hire a Bunch of newbies as our location is Suffering. She can only be available part of the week and sometimes doesn't even get scheduled time with the new partners.
I let my manager know I was interested in becoming a trainer to help out but she hasn't talked with me about it since then.
Then the other day they asked me to help train a girl on ovens. I was happy to do so and had a lot of fun helping out but I can't help but wonder if they'll ever tag me in as an actual trainer.
Ahhhhh Starbucks life.

I would definitely bring it up to the manager again. Barista Trainers get a small bonus for training new partners!

So I finally asked a shift about this and was pretty upset to find out that like other companies they have people who are trained to teach the ends and outs and get paid differently for this Very important role but when there's someone needing to be trained they will ask those who aren't receiving the extra pay.......ugh
I Love teaching and helping but 1. I want to make sure I'm giving the Right info for the company and 2. I want to be paid Fairly for doing the task!
I'll see about chatting with my manager to let her know I'm still interested in becoming a trainer. I'm sure this is just an over sight as it happens in a Lot of companies but watching one of our new beans getting trained by three different non trainers yesterday even while our trainer was on shift was tough.
I just want it to be done correctly and with fairness.
