Y’all need to say something. Starbucks is supposed to be pro-LGBT

I’d take it to your DM, because Starbucks is all about inclusion and your boss is more afraid of offending angry customers than offending hard working employees.

This makes me sad for your store. My SM is upset that our pride decorations are arriving late so we haven’t decorated.

We have a pride flag hanging in our window year round at my store. For sure called Ethics and Compliance or reach out to your DM

The day we got our pride flags the 4 partners I was working with who had ponytails that day all put the flags in their hair, while the rest of us with short hair all talked about needing somewhere to put our flags. We also had put a few flags up for TDOV and have kept one up since then (March 31st). As much as I can get sick of the job some time, I love working at a place where I know I’m accepted :).

There are Pride flags being sent to our stores??? This is the first time I've heard of this.
Side note I Really wish they would send us the pride shirts as well instead of needing to purchase them.
At the very Least it would be nice to have the option for the payment to come out our our next check.
This way we can have them on time for June without needing the cash up front.

Put the flag up. Call the DM and get permission. If your manager takes it down again, tell them you have direct permission at your location.

We haven't done ANYTHING for pride and don't even have pride merch even though I can count the number of cishet partners on one hand. I think it's because of the area we are in idk. Put that flag back up your SM is being horrible

My assistant manager bought us disposable rainbow masks to wear for our shifts during pride month!!

i’m new to reddit so i don’t know how to add a picture (LOL), but we have a huge pride flag, a painted on rainbow heart on the window, my manger herself also painted on rainbow wings as a picture spot, and a ton on mini rainbow flags around the store 🥰

We don’t have a pride thing going on. Too busy dealing with issues. However, we used to have a BLM sticker, but our SM took it down because partners were being threatened by customers. So there’s that.

My entire district didn't allow anything pride last year because some stores wanted to decorate and some didn't but the DM wanted all the stores to look the same so nobody could have decorations :/

My store manager did the same thing. They always say "Out of regulation." It's out of regulation for the Kroger that my Starbucks is within.

How does a manager justify taking down a flag to not offend people? Who gets offended that a flag is flying?

Complain to your DM and partner resources. Every store near me has flags and things up for pride.
