My last day was yesterday. (self.starbucksbaristas)

It was great. I’m a 233 and left on really good terms.
Today, I went through the drive thru to say goodbye to two more people. I get to the window and my manager runs over to the window after my partner card was scanned and told me I’m not allowed to use my discount anymore since my last day was yesterday. Even though he hasn’t taken me out of the system yet.
I paid full price for my food and drink this morning.
I’m a pretty petty person but I’ve never been that petty before.
I may never go to a Starbucks again because of that interaction. Not that one customer is going to matter but still.

Right?! I didn’t quit a month ago! It hadn’t even been 24 hours. And my Spotify still works. I’m mostly just shocked at how petty he chose to be right then.

I would understand a lot more if my partner numbers didn’t work anymore and if it had been a week. But it was yesterday and my numbers still work. So I’m still in the system. I could have mobile ordered.

🤷🏼♀️ If yesterday was your last day you probably wouldn’t be out of the system yet. I don’t think it works that fast. I mean I get why you’re frustrated.

Even though they aren’t a partner (as I recently quit as well) all partner benefits still are good until last time getting paid. As for the OP I would just go to a different store

I did today and my partner numbers still work. I was a partner for 4 and a half years and never heard of that rule. He was trippin.

If you think that’s petty my partner numbers were discounted early the day after my last (even on a Sunday) and they didn’t give me my final paycheck for like a week with my numbers not working.

Damn, your manager worked fast. The paycheck makes sense though. We only get paid fridays. Mine won’t come for almost 2 weeks.

In California if you fire someone or they quit with more than a 72 hours notice you have to give them their final paycheck on their last day of work.

I mean, while I agree it’s kind of petty given it’s only been one day. You aren’t with the company anymore so no you shouldn’t reap partner benefits. That’s what happens when you quit 🤷🏽♀️

That’s probably because you pay for Spotify by the month. So this month is paid up. They have no reason to restrict your account yet

You get Spotify for free as a partner. When you’re taken out of the system you have to start paying immediately. It doesn’t work through the month like a paid subscription.

I don't know when I'll be back in. My SM said he'd separate me today. Too bad I'm not going on a road trip or something so I can use the free spotify for a while longer. Did you get any notice when your account changed over? Do we finish out the month...? I don't know how these things work!
I think I've got like $20 on a gift card left over from pre-pandemic, and we'll see if I replenish it. Haven't purchased anything from then since the free drink/food markout showed up.

As of 2pm Monday my Spotify still works and I clocked out Saturday at noon. I know as soon as they separate you from the company it stops working so I’m just waiting for that message to show up 😭

Our partner numbers are 7 digits and mine starts with 233xxxx. You can get a rough gage of how long someone has been a partner.
