What if we all tell Starbucks to discontinue using the plastic stopper through my Starbucks idea? This is how the stopper originated, was someone putting the idea on my Starbucks idea to prevent drinks from spilling. Starbucks has alternative stoppers that are not made of plastic (lid sticker). What if we all said stop using plastic stoppers?

Do people even have stoppers rn? We've been out of stoppers and those stickers for like 2 months now.

Hi there, they are on back order and will go back to all stores except those with compostable mandates after the inventory is recovered.

the stoppers are a waste of plastic. and we’ve been out for days and old white men keep rolling their eyes at me as if i personally decided to not have them

In the UK (at least my area) we don’t have them? If people really wanted them we’d just give them an Uber Eats lid or offer to pour a little out. No one ever asks for them though (we’re mostly drive thru).

It's already a thing in Hawaii. People aren't too upset. At my old store we had the stickers, but since we don't do delivery at my new store we just put the first lid on, then a second lid on top of it and push it down to look like it's one lid, and I usually put a piece of sticker tape in between the lids so customers know it's two

Why do you want to remove stoppers? This will never happen because of their use. As someone else stated, the stickers are not good safe because we touch the sticky part. Push for something like having the stoppers made from at least 50% recycled plastic, or make them biodegradable, something like that

The problem with the stickers, especially at my store, is we have them. But when ppl see us have to touch the sticky part just to remove it, the part that would sit on the hole, it violates food safety. Its the same why you aren't supposed to touch the hole on the lid or near it

Gotcha so changing the shape might make customers feel differently about placement on the lid?

Maybe, you'd need a bigger sticker n even then. To me the stoppers are actually useful and food safe. I think we should just limit how much they're used. Same with the plastic straws
