I’m pretty sure I don’t have covid but I am definitely sick(stuffy nose/congestion, sneezing, headache, mild body aches, slight cough and loss of taste and smell). I feel bad because 3 ppl called out today and 2 yesterday.

The loss of taste and smell is one of the most widely recognized covid symptoms. Are you sure you don’t have covid? I’d get a test to be certain.

I’m not 100% but I mean I’m vaccinated and I also took a covid test today so I’m waiting on the results.
Also even before covid that would be a common symptom of any common cold. I’m not dismissing it because it could still very well be covid but at the same time Im thinking I would have felt a lot worse than I do.
Either way I feel bad that I was one of the ppl to call out because it’s been so busy at my work. The heat makes ppl crazy 😭

The new delta covid strain makes the Pfizer vaccine only ~88% effective from what I read, and it’s worse for the other vaccines. So definitely get tested, and don’t be done with your masks yet.

Ive heard the loss of taste and smell from covid is more intense than that of common cold, and that it persists even after sinuses have cleared

I have tonsillitis :/ my store has been dealing with a ton of call outs in the last couple weeks tho, I feel bad for calling out but at this point I’m quitting soon and trying to cash in my sick hours bc I won’t get them paid out to me when I quit

I get that all the time, was supposed to have my tonsils out as a kid but they refused and I still get it tot this day and get extremely sick from it. I’m 19 now been getting it since like 4?

With those symptoms I’d get a covid test just to be sure. With this many symptoms you wouldn’t pass covid coach regardless

Yeah I made an appt and got tested this morning but the results won’t come in til 24-48 hrs :(

If you let your SM know , I think waiting for test results for covid counts as cat pay. I had a coworker who had to get tested a few times . But I’d let them know for sure either way If you have shifts you’re missing in the meantime

Thankfully it isn’t covid but that sucks you got sick :( I hate the guilty feeling of leaving your store without coverage but then again... it’s not like we’re lying about being sick you know?

Staffing is fun. I literally almost passed out during my 7.5 hour shift on Saturday and felt bad asking to sit down for 5 minutes because I didn’t feel like I could leave since we only had 2 other people besides me closing/staying after 5.

Yeah Saturday was trash. That was the last day I worked and I clocked out at 12:15 but we were supposed to leave by 11:30 :( I wanted to just walk out. I even got OT because we needed to do so much
